Peer review

Review and editorial decisions

How IRJAR evaluates manuscripts and communicates decisions to authors.

Does IRJAR use peer review?

IRJAR may use editorial screening, peer review, expert review, plagiarism review, formatting review, or publication-readiness review depending on the type of submission and publication pathway.

What are the possible editorial decisions?

Editorial decisions may include acceptance, acceptance with minor revisions, major revisions required, rejection, or redirection to another publication format such as a commentary, book chapter, archive, or special issue.

How long does peer review take?

Review timelines vary depending on the manuscript type, reviewer availability, editorial workload, revision quality, and publication category. Authors should contact IRJAR if they need an update on a submitted manuscript.

Can I appeal an editorial decision?

Authors may submit a respectful, evidence-based appeal if they believe a decision involved a factual misunderstanding, procedural concern, or conflict of interest. IRJAR may uphold the original decision, request additional review, invite revision, or decline further consideration.

Can I become a reviewer for IRJAR?

Qualified scholars and professionals may contact IRJAR to express interest in reviewing. Reviewer applicants should provide their name, field of expertise, institutional affiliation, academic background, research interests, and CV if requested.

Publication

Publication, DOI, and indexing

Answers about publication records, DOI metadata, archives, and discoverability.

Does IRJAR provide DOI numbers?

IRJAR uses the DOI prefix 10.36966/irjar. DOI assignment may depend on the publication type, metadata readiness, editorial approval, technical processing, and IRJAR’s publication workflow.

Does a DOI guarantee indexing?

No. A DOI improves citation stability and metadata visibility, but it does not automatically guarantee indexing in every database, search engine, library catalogue, or academic platform.

Will my article appear on Google Scholar?

IRJAR may structure publications to support discoverability, but Google Scholar and other indexing platforms control their own indexing processes. IRJAR cannot guarantee when or whether a specific article will appear in external platforms.

Can I update my article after publication?

Minor corrections may be possible when they do not alter the scholarly record in a misleading way. Major changes after publication may require a correction notice, updated version, expression of concern, or other editorial action.

Can IRJAR remove a published article?

Published scholarly work is part of the academic record. Removal is not normally preferred unless there are serious legal, ethical, copyright, privacy, or safety concerns. Corrections and retractions are usually more transparent than silent removal.

Fees

Publication fees and services

Information about possible costs, paid services, and author support.

Does IRJAR charge publication fees?

IRJAR may charge fees for certain publication, editorial, formatting, DOI-related, book publishing, special issue, or author-support services. Authors should review the Publication Fees page or contact IRJAR before submission.

Does payment guarantee acceptance?

No. Payment does not guarantee acceptance, peer-review approval, DOI assignment, indexing, or publication unless expressly stated in writing. Editorial decisions should be based on scholarly quality, relevance, ethics, and publication standards.

Does IRJAR offer editing or formatting support?

IRJAR may offer or coordinate editorial support, formatting, proofreading, book layout, citation assistance, or publication preparation services depending on availability and the author’s needs.

Are refunds available?

Refund eligibility may depend on the type of service, stage of work completed, administrative costs, payment processor fees, and written agreement. Authors should review the applicable fee and refund terms before making payment.
