1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, using, or submitting content to the Interdisciplinary Research Journal & Archives (IRJAR), you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions, as well as any applicable guidelines, policies, and future updates. These terms govern your use of the IRJAR website, submission of manuscripts, peer reviews, and access to published content. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the site or its services.
2. Intellectual Property and Copyright
All content published on IRJAR, including journal articles, reports, images, logos, layouts, and digital publications, is either owned by IRJAR or published with the explicit permission of authors under open-access licenses (typically Creative Commons). Authors retain copyright to their submitted work, but by submitting, they grant IRJAR a non-exclusive, worldwide right to publish and archive their work in print and digital formats. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute content without proper citation and attribution unless explicitly permitted.
3. Submissions and Peer Review Process
IRJAR welcomes contributions from students, researchers, academics, and professionals from diverse disciplines. All submissions must be original, free from plagiarism, and not under consideration elsewhere. By submitting your manuscript, you agree to undergo our peer-review process and to abide by editorial decisions. IRJAR reserves the right to reject submissions that do not meet our scholarly or ethical standards. Authors may be required to revise and resubmit based on reviewer feedback.
4. Reviewer Conduct and Confidentiality
Reviewers must uphold academic integrity and maintain confidentiality during the peer-review process. They shall not disclose, share, or use any unpublished data or content for personal or professional benefit. Reviewers must recuse themselves if any conflict of interest arises. By agreeing to serve as a reviewer, individuals consent to IRJAR’s double-blind review guidelines and timeline expectations.
5. Membership, Publisher Accounts, and Contributions
Researchers, doctoral students, and educators are encouraged to create IRJAR accounts as contributors, reviewers, or guest editors. All members must provide accurate information and update their profiles as needed. Misuse of the platform—such as fraudulent submissions, impersonation, or spamming—will result in suspension or termination of access. We reserve the right to verify academic credentials and institutional affiliations.
6. Usage of the Platform
You may browse, read, and download content from IRJAR for personal, educational, or non-commercial purposes. You may not use the platform in a way that damages, disables, or interferes with our digital infrastructure. Automated data scraping or unauthorized reproduction of content is strictly prohibited. Any misuse may result in legal consequences or blocking of IP addresses.
7. Privacy and Data Protection
We respect your privacy. IRJAR collects limited personal data (such as names, institutional affiliations, and email addresses) for the purpose of maintaining contributor accounts, reviewer records, and communications. Your data will never be sold or shared without consent. For full information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
8. Third-Party Links and Logos
IRJAR may display logos or provide links to third-party institutions such as Université Laurentienne and Santé Canada for collaborative publications or acknowledgement purposes. These entities are independent and IRJAR assumes no responsibility for their content, policies, or services. The use of any third-party logo does not imply endorsement unless explicitly stated.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
While IRJAR strives to maintain high-quality, peer-reviewed content, we do not warrant that the platform will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted. Published articles reflect the views of their authors, not necessarily those of IRJAR. The platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
10. Limitation of Liability
IRJAR shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use or inability to use the platform, including reliance on any published content. This includes but is not limited to academic loss, misinterpretation of research, or platform downtime.
11. Modification of Terms
IRJAR reserves the right to modify, amend, or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. All changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage users to review this page regularly.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in Ontario, Canada, where IRJAR is registered. Disputes arising under these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of Ontario courts.
